Arogya Ayurvedic Health Ltd and the Academy of Traditional Ayurveda present the 'Vishwa Ayurveda Samaj'.
The Vishwa Ayurveda Samaj is is our online global society of Ayurveda that invites Ayurvedic practitioners and Vedic scholars from all nations, religious backgrounds and cultures to participate and contribute to the Traditional Ayurveda of ancient India as is our mission at Arogya Ayurvedic Health Ltd and through the Academy of Traditional Ayurveda, in addition to other organisations we network with of a similar focus.
We have an International Alliance with AAPNA (Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America), one of world's largest bodies of Ayurvedic Professionals for the development of Ayurveda.
We have an International Alliance with AAPNA (Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America), one of world's largest bodies of Ayurvedic Professionals for the development of Ayurveda.
The Vishwa Ayurveda Samaj does not discriminate whether you are a qualified Practitioner or holding a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) or not as it focuses on the traditional Guru-shishya Parampara system of Ayurvedic Training from ancient times in which, which includes several ways in which the ancient wisdom has been transmitted to students and requires only that they endeavor to uphold the values of traditional Ayurveda such as study of the Vedic shastras (sacred texts), the Sanskrit language and Daiva Chikitsa (Spiritual therapy) and it's expanded forms and also seeks to promote the ancient advancements of Ayurveda such as Shalyatantra (surgery) and other areas.
We see all those who have been traditionally taught Ayurveda and know the classical texts and teachings as Vaidyas, as BAMS holders or traditional Ayurvedic Practitioners in their own right, as per the Guru-parampara system and seek to honour them through our Academy of Traditional Ayurveda as per their credentials / training or knowledge. We feel that in order to pass on the knowledge, a true Vaidya (lit. "one who is wise" or "one who has knowledge of the Vedas") is not simply a medical person with screeds of degrees or Certifications, nor is a Yogi.
Those who have completed the Online Ayurvedic Lifestyle Course through our Academy of Traditional Ayurveda may also apply to become "Ayurvedic Ambassadors" through the Vishwa Ayurveda Samaj. If you have completed a similar traditionally-designed course online or elsewhere, we can also consider your registration as an "Ayurvedic Ambassador" member.
Our hope is also to involve those in the fields of Yoga and Ayurveda to also study the Vedic Teachings and become more aware of the Yoga, Ayurveda and Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology) connections as the "sacred trinity" of traditional Ayurveda and the place of the Six Darshanas or systems of Hindu Philosophy and also help to bring out Traditional Ayurveda as per the classical Ayurveda Texts (Samhitas) and traditions, free from the New Age distortions of Ayurveda we are seeing in the West and being re-imported into India and also the limited approaches of Ayurveda being taught in India. We seek to restore an Integral or Yogic-Tantric Ayurveda tradition which embraces all aspects of healing, from the lower to higher.
You need not be an Ayurvedic Practitioner at all, but simply have an interest in the Yoga - Ayurveda correlations and Vedic teachings that form a part of this ancient science and its expanded teachings. The Samaj is an educational platform for the greater Ayurveda Community, which includes not only students, but lovers and domestic practitioners of Ayurveda or clients of Ayurvedic practitioners and Traditional Yoga and secondarily a platform for Ayurvedic students and Practitioners to learn more about the Traditional Ayurveda and its focus and approach.
We welcome all those who are aiming at a traditional (Vedic) Yoga, Jyotisha and Ayurvedic approach as per the ancient texts and the Hindu tradition, against the modern corruption of the Vedic sciences and also aim at a synthesised approach, what our founder, Durgadas has termed as a Purna Ayurveda or Integral and Complete system of Ayurveda that looks back to the Vedic-Hindu tradition as far back as the Rig Veda, the classical Ayurveda and Yoga texts and Tantric tradition and also how these sciences culminate with Jyotisha or Vedic Astrology to form this Integral system.
We are currently in the process of putting together various resources for Traditional Ayurveda and Yoga students to have access to these teachings through our authorised affiliate Teachers and Institutions for further traditionally-based studies and training. Some of these programs are accessible through Online Courses and also through Skype and Webinars for a more personal interaction also.
Membership is free for our Academy of Traditional Ayurveda students, clients and affiliates and we welcome all to contribute valuable articles and suggestions for the future.
